Dear:

  • Fellow citizens and tax payers
  • Fellow conservatives and Republicans
  • Community, civic, religious, business and city leaders
  • Business associates and friends

After over a decade of living, working and serving at the various capacities within the Arlington-Mansfield-Grand Prairie area of Tarrant County, I believe strongly that the business community and the ordinary, everyday tax payers of Precinct 2 deserve more conservative, proactive and effective representation at the County level.  As a result, at the encouragement of many community and business leaders, I have decided to run as a Republican candidate for County Commissioner, Precinct 2 of Tarrant County, Texas.

I ask you for your support in the upcoming Republican Primary Election. I am asking for your vote, your contribution to my campaign, and your influence.  I am asking you to give me the opportunity to work for you as your County Commissioner, where I can apply the skills I learned as an U.S. Army Officer, a successful business man, and a dedicated community servant leader.

However, this election isn’t about me. It is about us, our families, and the future of Southeast Tarrant County.  In 2007, our current Commissioner missed over 40% of all Commissioners Court meetings and has continued to miss meetings regularly.  In the upcoming Primary Election, you will have to make a choice: if you want more of the same or a new direction.  If you want more of the status quo of the past 20 years, you know what to do.  If you want change, simply for the sake of change, vote for anyone but me.  If you want results, please cast your ballot for Precinct 2 of Tarrant County by voting for Andy Nguyen.

As your County Commissioner, I will represent you and your interests conservatively, proactively and effectively.  I will establish town hall meetings and other forms of communication to gather your inputs, to listen to you, and to work toward constructive consensus.  As open dialogues begin the process of effective and proactive representation, transparency leads to conservative governance.  If Collin County could implement a successful financial transparency project, I don’t see why Tarrant County shouldn’t work aggressively toward that same objective.  County government, or any level of government for that matter, should be “of the people, for the people and by the people.”  While I understand the harsh reality of the political world, with your help and continued support, I am optimistic that together, we can make positive impacts that will last for generations.

I would love the opportunity to converse with you about what is important to you in this election.  I can be reached at 817-614-8733 or This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .

I look forward to working with each and everyone of you to improve Tarrant County and Precinct 2.

Regards,

Andy Nguyen
Candidate for County Commissioner Precinct 2
